An Amazing Optical Illusion

The Holographic Chamber by Science Museum would have to be one of the best illusions I have bought to date. It is reasonably inexpensive and is sure to blow your mind.

It uses two opposing parabolic mirrors to makes it look the object is right in front of your eyes when in reality, the object is in the base of the chamber. It is a very deceptive illusion, and even when you know how it works, you can't quite get your head around it.

We were going to take a video of this illusion, but there is already one by one of our favourite channels. Here is the Holographic Chamber in action.

Our Review/Opinion

We love this illusion, and it is sure to be a hit with friends. It is a great STEM learning tool too. Even though it is priced under $20, we still think it is a little overpriced for what you get.

We would have loved to see a few more objects included in the pack. It comes with a small fury ball, which works well, but for a few cents more they could have included a couple of other things. We found ourselves wandering around looking for tiny objects to place in the chamber.

Overall, a fascinating toy, and a great illusion. We give the holographic chamber from Curious Planet 4 out of 5.
