The Professor Plums store recently sent us the Squashed Frog Prepared Slides by Heebie Jeebies to check out under our new microscope. After spending the morning checking them out with the kids, I thought I would share with you our discoveries our a review of these slides. 🐸
Overview of the Squashed Frog Slide Set
The Squashed Frog Slide set is made by Heebie Jeebies. The set consists of 7 prepared slides, all of which are themed around frogs, or more accurately a still water ecosystem.
Each slide is the standard 75mm by 25mm and is labelled and ready to be organised within your slide collection.

Inside the box, you will find your seven prepared microscope slides. They are as follows:

Animal Fish Blood (SM)
Plant Lily Leaf (C.S.)
Animal Hydra (C.S.)

Our Review/Opinion
I can not believe the value of these prepared slides. The Squashed Frog Prepared Slides sell at Professor Plums for $10AUD. And the more I think about that, the more I am blown away. Seven glass microscope slides, where a specimen has been placed and prepared for you for just over $1 per slide. That is incredible. When I bought our microscope, I just imagined setting up my own slides of things I find around the house; but since I found these, I am just going to buy prepared slides. We really can't rate these enough and give them a 5 out of 5. Amazing Value.

I hope there isn't some spoiler alert system needed for these, I am new to the microscopic world and hope I am not breaching some unmentioned rule of science by posting photos of these slides. They were just too awesome not to share.
